Did you perform this old maneuver?
Was this at the paint desk at Lowe's?

So, tomorrow I finally get to resume fixing up the shed?

Should I bother trying to check on Crazy J? I asked him to reverse-flush the heater core on the 2002 Civic and when I drove past on Friday I didn't see my car. Maybe he hadn't gotten around to it and that was why he moved.

I worry why else my car might not be there.

It has been there a couple of months, but I have gone a couple of weeks without getting a hold of him, despite calling, texting, and stopping by multiple times.

I wonder why all the fun is gone out of Ecomodder. The Quote buttom works again.

The Superbeetle is parked in out of the rain, right next to the Dasher I sold and was subsequently vandalized that is waiting for repair.

I am sorry about that. I keep trying to think of the ecomodder way to fix vandalism, but I am especially tired today.

Drink until it looks better?

Mostly it's the stolen battery and cut hoses, but they broke out the passenger side vent window. The car wasn't even locked [but there was a trick to get in]. The shop sourced a replacement, but it probably won't be green tinted glass to match.

No longer my problem.

I did get a Dish antenna cut in half, now I need to fettle the flanged edge and flange the cut edge.

I decided to detach the Civic mirror and see if I could repair it (or temporarily hold it together with Gorilla Tape). I detached the 3 8mm nuts, dropped one inside the door, and saw that the broken part is perpendicular to the portion that bolts to the door.

I am positive that I have a spare mirror somewhere, but I should be able to bolt a mending plate, too.

I would rather repair the plastic itself, but I cannot imagine that it would hold.

I thought that heat staples would do the job, but I finally looked into them.

Somehow I visualized normal staples that you heat up and drive into the plastic, but they go backward, none of them are straight, and you bury the head in the plastic.

They seem great, but they don't seem to make anything rigid.

I am trying to keep my mirror from flapping around!

I have that piece of aluminum plate left over from acid-washing my Accord catalytic converter, so maybe I can drill holes in that that line up best with the strongest parts of the plastic.

I need to put some Gorilla tape over the hole.

I remember discussing battery spot welders, but didn't see relevant results when I searched.

I remember Oil Pan mentioning it and The King of Random made one from a microwave and Linus made one.

I wanted to share a video from a channel that I just discovered. I don't know that he showed anything novel, but I enjoy his videos.

I did find a comment I made a while ago about repairing exhaust manifold cracks: https://ecomodder.com/forum/showthre...tml#post510393
