yea, put up some photos you idiot! geez if you want people to make designs, dont you think they need to know what the bike looks like....your such an a-hole...

as for a little update on the bike in general...
one) spent about 3 hours trying to get the rear/front master cylinder all good to go, only to find that there was a jam in one of the brake lines, after we fixed that, it was determined that i'm probably going to need a new rear master cylinder, or a rebuild kit; probably the later since i was told its cheaper

two) the rush was then on to get my new controller (well, new to me at least; used off of ebay) on the bike..after i got it on, we took it out for a ride..it defiantly accelerated better so much so that i blew a 225A fuse diet plan here i come...we brought it back in, and instead of using the spare 200A fuse i had, we decided a thin piece of 10GA wire would do the trick...took it back out again and it was good, then i let ben take it for a spin...and OH NOES...something went bad....we brought it back in side and started testing like crazy...we couldnt figure out what was wrong..and were all getting realy tired, so we called it quits...

i'm expecting that the controller is just shot, and junk...but maybe theres something we overlooked that day

so it was exciting, and sad at the same time....oh well...i guess i'm on to looking for ANOTHER controller hahah

ben has some video footage of it being on the road this weekend, i'm sure he'll post that here once its on his youtube page

Nah, that one was the "chopper chopper"... built for a heli-chopper.

The one I'm referring to, which shiba apparently watched, is about a stealth fighter. The gas tank has the mirrored angles and such that the fighter uses to avoid radar detection, and has a cockpit built right onto it. It's truly a supreme job.

I think I have Chris half-convinced to do an Open Source 144V motorcycle!

We were discussing all the different possibilities of controllers - new vs. used, different voltages, amperages, and prices.

In the end, an Open ReVolt controller would fit all the criteria of inexpensive, powerful, and expandable.

Plus, if we do screw it up, it can just get popped open and repaired, unlike potted commercial controllers with their proprietary goo'ed-up insides.

Well, most likely the cycle wouldn't actually run at 144V, as that might be too much for the motor, and 12 chargers might be a little pricey as well, but a 500 amp motorcycle at 48 or 72V would still be LOTs O' Fun!

Everyone, please push Shiba towards going the Open Source Controller route. He knows he wants to....

PS - He would LOVE donations towards the project! Maybe we could push a few bucks straight to MPaulHOlmes to start paying for a controller board....

I just e-mailed MPaulHolmes, and he's willing to help us out a bit on the motorcycle project.

I'm not saying much, but there exists a strong possibility of having a 700-Amp controller on this cycle.

Hey! Shiba hasn't been keeping this thread updated!

A few days ago, I got a big box from MPaulHolmes with all the parts needed to fix my Cougar controller and build a Big Fancy controller for the motorcycle!

And here's the best part -it's going to be a 144V 700 amp controller!

This past Sunday, Chris and I started working on soldering up the logic boards.
I quickly found that he solders much faster than I do....

I would post a photo or two, but my computer ate it. I do have a couple little video clips Chris took of working on the board, so maybe I can at least post those sometime soon.

Hopefully, the controller construction will go quickly, and the cycle will be all ready to show off at Earth Day!
