I'm very interested to see how this turns out ... have you looked at the designs of any of the electric racing motorcycles that are out right now? I think I've seen stuff about enduro races being held in which it was all electric motorcycles.

I helped Chris bring home his motorcycle the other day.

He had some art students helping out design a body for it. It was a metals scupture class, so all the body work was welded sheet metal!

It has a pretty cool industrial look. Chris was talking about pulling off the body panels and using them as a mold to make a fiberglass body.

Switch to fiberglass for sure! The weight savings would give better acceleration, better top end, lower power draw..... !

Holy sh!t... that's an awesome body. It looks very Street Fighter. (Custom bike, for those not aware. Research at CustomFighters.com for related information)

Def would like to see it in fiberglass, but it looks very punk as is... I love "unrefined" style.

I would love to see more on this project and get to know you guys. I am located up in Appleton WI and am very interested in building an electric bike of my own. Love the shaft drive idea also, hadn't thought of that.

Finally an update!

Chris has been riding the cycle a bit, but has had some trouble will pulling too many amps.

Are the brakes dragging? Is his gear ratio wrong? Is he using the right cable?
