You may have seen Ben's blog post in May about how the
F-150 fell to 5th place behind the Civic, Corolla, Camry & Accord in that month's US sales.
In Canada, that trend stretched to total sales for the entire year.
The Civic has been the country's best-selling car for more than a couple of years, but the F-150 has typically beat it in annual units.
Apparently trucks have been on top for some time, but the Civic's sales have upended a dynasty of sorts:
Quote:
It marks the first time in 15 years that a car has topped a truck as the country's best selling vehicle. In 1993, the Chevrolet Cavalier came out on top if one doesn't count the combined sales of the Chevrolet and GMC C/K pickup trucks.
