wow, just filled up after the new tires.
I got the tires put on @ 1/2 a tank, and got a 32mpg average for the entire tank !
now Im hoping to see a much better tank on the next fill up, my first full tank with the new tires.
I also know that when I get my next set of tires, Im going to go with a 205/50 (got 205/45's because I was concerned about clearance issues), that should show me even more gains.

so now I dont feel so bad about the few poor tanks Ive gotten so far.
apparently, I have a caliper that occasionally sticks a little.
it doesnt totally stay locked, but doesnt release all the way after I take off the e-brake, and I think it isnt happening every time.

I noticed it the other day, while gliding downhill, normally my car will retain and even increase mph by a few on this particular downslope, but the other day, the car actually lost speed of almost 5 mph. I also noticed the car was struggling a lil to get up to speed.
so Im going to have to re-train myself not to engage the e-brake when I park, until I can have it looked at (hopefully next week)

Superb, glad you found the root cause, and still managed a decent tank with that issue. Imagine how good the tank will be when its sorted
