That's another serious problem. BTW I remember one of the reasons that led some farmers in my state to start using genetically-modified seeds was the allegation that it would enable them to decrease the usage of pesticides to glyphosate-based ones only. |

I finally found seaweed in the dollar store. I bought one package of three 5g packets and mixed one into a big bowl of chili. Twelve pieces of seaweed seemed like it would be horrible, but it softened, mixed in, and was barely noticeable, just like a small amount of chard or something. I do not have any idea if it will make a difference, but yay! Vegetables!

grow the wheat eat the bread feed the hay to a cow eat the cow
put all the poop back in the dirt
rinse and repeat
its not to complicated until you try to remove something from its place

The question was whether adding seaweed to chili would reduce methane production. I do not have any idea, but with the ratios I used, it would not be inherently unpopular at a chili cookoff.
