Most powders "flow out" at 450 degrees. Then you decrease the temperature to 400 degrees until the powder sets. Usually 20 minutes.
Flow out is when the powder goes from the dull powder look to when it melts and bonds together.

I have read that you can use things like JB weld that are rated for those temperatures as an alternative filler.
