Compliments
Yesterday, in the local WalMart parking lot (tough to avoid when you live in a small town), a woman came up to me and complimented my 'I'm too poor to vote republican' sticker, and asked me if I was into ecomodding, because of my Moon discs.
It's nice to hear that now and then, and especially to heard the term 'ecomodding' outside of this forum.
In happier driving news, I've had to do a lot of driving lately (my eventual father-in-law was in the hospital, over 100 miles away - he's doing well now, btw), so I've been able to pull some decent mpg by winter-standards (though not great overall).

Thats very cool. The only thing ever pointed out by someone was the grill block when I went in for emissions.

Most notable I've got was someone leaving a note on my windshield asking me why I had blue tape all over my car but I've had more than my share of silent stares and rapid head turns as cars pass by in the parking lot.

Good story, jams.
I've seen lots of references to ecomodding around the 'net, and once on public radio, but never in real life. That's interesting.

That's funny. Did they leave a return address so you could answer them?

Nobody really noticed anything on my car until I added the wheel covers, then everybody started talking and looking. Everybody thinks I am trying to make my car "look like Nascar" until I explain the real reason behind the mods.

He left me a number to send him a text message. He never replied so I'm not sure if he got the point or not.

Did they expect a reply!?
Edit: Oh, sorry - I see someone else already asked that. Duh.
