It's a good idea, but almost nobody will go for it. The majority will make sure that practice is illegal.

When I die, I simply want to be pushed into an unmarked grave and covered over with dirt. It shouldn't cost anything to die, but somehow the government and business have colluded to get just a few more $$ out of what was once a person.

If my body could be used as energy, that's something I would consider.

Va will pick up your corpse and dispose of it for free, which would be one choice. The other would be to be cremated and put in an envelope so my wife could have her body placed above it in her casket, then I can kiss her #$%^ for all eternity.

regards
Mech

As with energy, nothing in life is free. VA doesn't have any money, it only has other people's money. I don't want to forcefully take the money of strangers just to dispose of my corpse. I certainly don't want the last thing my body does to suckle at the gov't teat.

Ideally, family or friends would fire up the backhoe for 5min and scrape out a hole. With the money I saved by not having a funeral, I will throw a party for everyone that cared to show up.

How is that for OT?

True ... but , the corpse has value to the right buyer ... organ donors ... blood donors ... Medical students ... Embalming Students ... Forensic body farms ... etc.

Supply and Demand.

One person's trash is another person's treasure.

Screw 'em. They reelected the ass-clowns who sent me to die and didn't even have the decency to wait until I got home to do it. They're on the hook for my cremation whenever it needs doing even if I outfoxed them and didn't die when they planned.

I'll see your OT and raise you a rant.

For me, just strip off any usable parts, and set the rest out as a banquet for the coyotes & vultures.

The law of supply and demand...we continue every year to increase our energy demands using a resource that is rapidly becoming unaffordable. Pretty soon, the middle class will be doing what the poor already do. Some already are. Soon there will be even more people riding on 2 wheels because the consumption of fuel by a 4 wheeler is increasingly being deemed financially impractical.
