COOLEST HYBRID EVER! Seriously!
Just the other day, I got to see the COOLEST HYBRID EVER!!!
Only thing is, I CAN'T tell you about it!
Through my work, I ended up being on a project that it turned out was about an amazing new hybrid. It's been in works for years now.
However, it's not out yet, and I had to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Somebody please remind me on September 23rd, 2012 about this thread. The new product should be out in the public at that time, so I can actually talk about it after that!
-Ben

Oh, you tease.
Surely you can say... Series or parallel? Plug-in?
Big 3 or other?

OK, not wishing to break your non-disclosure... Can I guess what the Coolest Hybrid Ever would be like? I'm assuming this is a real thing which I haven't heard of before.
So my own Coolest would be like the Jaguar C-X75 plug-in hybrid. Or like the C-X16.
I'd like a natural gas burning turbine and only enough batteries for regeneration. Lighter batteries, lightweight ICE, no transmission. Oh, yeah, it should be affordable.

There are all sorts of "hybrids" and "EVs" out there. The improtant question is can the average person afford it, is it available NOW and is there any catch, IE single passenger, top speed limit of 43 mph, requires plugging in, etc. .
I use to work for Baker Equipment who made the electric postal vehicles under the Clinton administration. Well, the economy collapse filled that project, there was nothing wrong with the technology.

I think the Audi hybrid that won the Le Mans was pretty cool stuff.
