My brother went to bed a little after midnight, which is good for my family. I was up late worrying about taking care of him without Mom. However, I realized that I should try to find greenhouse fabric while we are down here, except I could only find way too much, so I ordered some off of Amazon.

I always wish that I could sort by delivery date. Amazon said that one could be here in 2 days, but that involved paying over $200 in shipping. The fastest that I saw would deliver to Show Low in a week.

It isn't supposed to be below freezing during that time, so hopefully it will be okay--if anything is still alive.

Instead of buying 2 $30 dropcloths I paid $75 for one package of 10x50 greenhouse fabric.

I'm pleased to announce I've added 48 square feet of weather cover between the tiny house and the carport. No camera, so no picture.

All materials I'd been hoarding toward some purpose (fasteners included), until one tube of bath tub adhesive/caulk to fill the holes from previous use in the [three] translucent gray D-wave corrugated 12 foot sheets.

The frame weighed 20 pounds, the whole thing 40. I got a nasty bruise on my left forearm trying to put it up, but a neighbor helped today. Can't wait for rain to see it stay dry, then it will turn into machine tool alley. I might have a line on an 18" shear/roller/brake.

It replaced what came down in the snow two years ago.

I am still healing from where my drill slip and got my thumb webbing.

One of the hoop house video dudes said that you want 2 layers in your hoop house. People say that each layer keeps the plants about 5°F warmer.

He used 2x4s and had 2 layers. I have 2x6es, so I could use...

Can I get away with cheap plastic on the inside since the outside is supposed to be UV-treated?

2 layers. I found stopping leaks worked better.

Yes you can use cheap plastic on the inside but it still wont last more than a season or two. Because it is uv resistant, it doesn't mean it is an UV filter and too much UV filtering is plant growth reducing.

EV Mower Conversion with Solar Charging Station

I think Colin Furze is a goofy showboater, but I like the shed he built for this episode. Recycled pallet walls and two big PV panels for a roof. I think it is the skip siding that does it.

My neighbor across the lane put hoops over a 3x6ft planting bed and put up a sign that says Ghetto Garden. I resent the implication about our little community.

Which part?

On a side note: I am still harvesting ripening tomatos from my hoop house after several 26 degree outside nights and day temps averaging 80 degrees inside

I thought that you resented him saying his garden is ghetto.
