This thread is my blog, right?!
I started writing this in my converted commercial shed thread, but I want to keep my lies straight.
I mean...
We have already had two group projects due and my groupmates completed them, largely without my input, and submitted them with my name on them days early.
I totally wanted to do my part, but I haven't been able to get ahead in grad school, I am barely able to finish everything by the deadline.
There was a group discussion due last night, which wasn't posted in Canvas.
Everyone knows what Canvas is, right?
...or you gather that it is a place to post things, presumably for school?
I hadn't heard of it, we used Blackboard, but my first semester each professor had their own webpage.
A classmate just turned 40 and had asked if I was her dad's age.
As a reminder, I am 44.
Regardless, I believe that her husband was smart to wife her.
Anyway, Canvas didn't show anything in the dashboard, so I did the reading, watched the assigned videos, and earned 10/10 on the quiz, and then saw that the professor had reminded me through Canvas to participate in a discussion.
I need to figure out what is due, but not listed on my dashboard and make my own calendar.
Also, I need to check my Canvas inbox every day because on top of my school e-mail.
Yesterday, I redid CPR, was in class for 3 hours, saw one client, talked to a friend who was just diagnosed with cancer, wrote my notes, and did the aforementioned school stuff.
I wish that all of my days were that focused.
Once I finished those 34 videos, I have struggled to accomplish anything if I don't have a deadline.
Fun fact! At least one of our professors marks things as due immediately, but they are still open for at least another day or two.
Another one marks everything as due at 11:59, but they are still open until 12:20.
However, they lose 10% at 12:00.
So, yes, I am in grad school, and don't have the time to write this.
Did I mention meeting a beautiful young lady for cookies the Friday before school started?
That seemed like an odd choice, but it was fun.
She took one bite, I took two, and we just sat in In and Out for 2 hours, chatting.
We agreed to meet for breakfast, but I wasn't smart enough to confirm the day before. I messaged her ahead of time, but she didn't realize that I tried to confirm.
She also runs several miles 4 times a week, so that may have distracted her.
Guys!
I swear that she is the first lady I have ever taken out who exercises!
I like BBWs, but I love that she takes care of herself!
How many poor decisions have I told you about women I dated making--besides making me?!
Anyway, I laid back down, couldn't sleep, and tried to take care of things for the first day of grad school.
Somehow I forgot that we must have had a great first date, I tried to see her before my first day of grad school.
She didn't talk to me a great deal during the week, so I asked her to dinner for last Friday--and then asked out another lady for Saturday.
Dinner went so well that I canceled lunch with the other lady and we haven't talked since.
May the odds ever be in her favor.
I finally got a hold of that third post office, which told me to go into the second and put in a work order to have the key replaced.
Why did the second tell me to call the third?!
Of course, the second closed at noon.
Since the only guarantees are death and taxes, I decided to drive back to Show Low last weekend.
I had just established that the young lady would be willing to go with me, she enjoys spending time with me for some reason.
We attended Church together and drove up on Sunday.
I never understood the appeal of road trips, but that was huge fun, so I started thinking of day trips that we could make, but I realized, first of all, I probably cannot spare the time.
I really don't want to suddenly deal with repairs again--in grad school.
I don't seem to be able to find anything through Amtrak.
