Could my air dam damage the bumper? ..and other questions

So I finished making an air dam and Im wondering if I were to scrape it on something, what would happen? Its secured with 12 right angle brackets using the existing holes along the front edge of the bumper. I used washers that are only slightly larger than the hole so hopefully it would just rip through the hole as opposed to ripping the bumper off.

Also is it any more or less effective to be closer to the front as opposed to further back? I know it would be less likely to scrape further back.

I also uploaded images of my passenger mirror replacement and my attempt to make better wheel covers.

The plate where the mirror was is held on with one bolt and a little gorilla glue, and im wondering what else i can do to make sure its completely water tight.

And feel free to give input on the wheel covers. Im not sure if they are any more aerodynamic than the original hubcaps considering all the zip ties

It's a toss up between 'break-a-way' mounting or rock solid.
you went w rock solid.

The entire front bumper cover (on most vehicles) is only held in place with 6-8 very light weight platic screw/bolts.

a guy I knew had a custom fiberglass front air dam on a 68 Shelby GT500. he has a HUGE 'custom nametag on his dash that read "AIR DAM IDIOT"

Looks good and yes I minor scrape you should be fine, but a decent rock or a curb and your gona tare your bumper off I'd either replace the bolts with zip ties or go from 12 down to 4 if it won't sag

I wouldn't use gorilla glue it's designed for wood I'd use a clear silicone to hold and waterproof it

I like the wheel cover should help even with the zip ties I'd assume. You might melt the zip ties tho being so close to the brakes.
