The Volts battery is babied at c/5 charging rates, issues start around c/1

So no worries

Took the license bracket brick off the front of Ruby today. Since Florida only has a rear tag there's no need for it, and it ruined the look of the grille so off it came. Took about ten minutes to remove it. I had to drill out four rivets, unfortunately that meant there were four holes in the grille from when the frame was attached

It didn't turn out perfect (since I used aluminum tape over the four rivet holes as a temporary measure) but it looks a lot better than it did, and I'm sure there's a little aero gain there

I'll look for a permanent solution at some point, but this will do for now

On a side note it's been unseasonably warm even for Florida for the last week so I'm seeing my best numbers yet in the Volt, and over a 70 mile EV range. Hope the warm snap lasts all the way to spring (which is February here)

I don’t normally like chrome, but I LOVE the beak on the new Volt!

That looks a ton better. I'll have to see it in person, but I don't think you'd really notice it without looking for it.

Gained another mile of estimated EV range, and I still think there's room for improvement
Not sure what these top out at but I don't feel like I've hit the ceiling yet

Well, the worst mpg I've ever recorded in a Volt still beats the best mpg I ever managed in either of my Insights

This is about as high as I can get the mpge in 45 degree weather. This was my normal commute - it was chilly last might on the way home and really cold (for Florida) this morning

I dont feel so bad then, getting 358wh/mile with almost no concern for fe and 30°f today, rainy(freezing variety), windy, etc.
