Turtle Cruise control for 1991 Geo Metro

The one thing they missed on the early Geos was a cruise control. While I can still get 58 mpg on the freeway at 55 mph and average 51.8, I'd like to install a cruise control. I am NOT an electrical engineer.
Any suggestions?

Late 90's cars typically used stand alone cruise modules.

Here's and example of using a Chevy pickup truck module/servo in a school bus.

The same approach could be used on your Geo. (Save for it acting on the pedal, I'd hook it to the throttle body, like is normally done.)

There's other examples out there, just need to google a bit.
