There's a lot of this in America as well. It never would occur to them that no one can exit or enter with them blocking the entrance. People are so self absorbed nowadays that they think everyone is supposed to accommodate them.

Also in supermarket parking lots we find those who drive on the wrong side. If I can get their attention I usually say "in America we drive on the RIGHT!".

Oh, and the ones who drive straight across the whole parking lot! You have to be on high alert 360-degrees to avoid them, because they won't see you.

People on an interstate that park on your right rear and force you to brake/slow down for every other vehicle. Left rear for all you euro guys. Made me ANGRY blew him off the road as It turned out to be meeting a Hiway Patrolman. He was nice enough to knock the ticket from 85 to 80 that's MPH to keep me from having to take my CDL driver's test next renewal. Only will cost $115.00 except I'll pay the late wife's cousin to get it changed to a non moving violation. No insurance issues, or license points that way. Also keeps him in corvettes and a million dollar house. A**hole that caused it just drove on. Didn't help my MPG either.

That's nothing Frank, just the other day I saw a Harley with TWO full size flags stuck on the back tearing away in the wind.

I just had to shake my head and laugh.

Or the people at parties/conferences who manage to get to the bar and get a drink - then stand at the bar talking to people (who also have drinks), keeping the drinkless from getting to it.

And why would you NOT do this? Assuming that you're driving across an empty lot, of course. Do you really drive two sides of a right triangle instead of the shortest distance?

I don't necessarily follow the lines in parking lots, except when parking. I tend to blow through parking lot stop signs too, when the lines of visibility are clear.

You'd be surprised at how many here find the fire lane to be the ideal spot. I guess the extra 20' to the regular parking is too much exertion?

^That's nothing compared to these same people that meet while in their vehicles, in the parking lot or out on the street. They sit there right in the middle of traffic having that oh so important convention (probably as important as the cell phone calls I overhear when out and about).
