Have you already considered to use some wrap-around thermal insulation at the fuel rail?

Data shows that when outside temperatures are lower. The gearbox temp is lower to. So the first heaterpad will be installed on the gearbox.
Hopefully it will look something like this:
30amps relay is here to.
Only needs a switch and time to install everything.
If I aim lukky, then everything is installed before i need to fill up my tank.

The 100W heater is installed. And i just noticed that it had a 80 degrees celcius thermostat. Instead of the 65 degrees celcius i touth it was :P
Hopefully i find quick a nice looking plastic box. And tomorow i will connect the wires so i can testrun it with a relay and a switch inside the cabin.
Later if i have the good box i want. Then will it be installed permanently.

I fixed the foto in the previus post
Only jobs need to do to let it work, buy a heat resistant silicone kit.
But a black box for the relay (and future relays for other things)
Then install a switch in the cabin, get a good thick cable ground and a good thick 12V cable to the black box.
Last stage => test the heater in warm up times!

Are the last 5 pics working?
Because I have troubles with displaying them...
It looks like I will get a new best record ever!
At the moment I have done 725km and the needle still stands right above half tank of diesel. Normally it would drop from on the half tank mark to just below when i have 730km.
Every position of the needle change is arround 30 to 35km of driving :O

The pics are still not working. Trying to figuer out why. I always could use them. And now not any more. Thanks update outlook
Today i calculaded what i totally invested in the car so far.
That is so far: 2000€.
New tires are not calculeted in this because normal new tires cost allost the same. I only replaced the tires when the old ones where worn.
Total ammount saved so far: 700€
Total investment to save on fuel: 1300€
With normal fuel prices of now: 1180l
Savings of this years average is: 1,2l/100km
So distance of pay back is: 98 000km.
So when my total distance of my car is 200 000. It will be all payed back.
I drive around 25 000 to 30 000km a year.
So payback is around 3 to 3,5 years left.
I recently replaced the rear wheel tires. So i still need to see those gains. So that will lower the payback time some more.
My initial plans is to keep my car until it is 13 years.
It is now 7 years. So still be driving it for another 6 years
There will be profit

Normally i fixed all foto's.
At the moment i aim processing an differential ratio change.
Going from an 4,27 diff to an 3,31 diff.
Thats an 22,48% bigger gear.
Hopefully it will lead me to an 10% lower fuel milage
Speeds now:
And what they will be then:
