Problem with bumping the pressure is the tires will wear in the middle and fail inspection sooner but will have plenty of tread on the tire shoulder.
Tires will need to be replaced sooner.
I was running 50psi in my suburbans rear tires for some trailer towing, forgot that they were aired up to 50psi and ran them that way for a few months. Now the back tires have about 3/32'' less tread down the middle and the shoulders on the rear tires are all but untouched.
The fronts have always had 38psi and appear to be wearing very evenly accrost the tread.

I'm not sure this is universally true, my cobalt had "less" air in the tires on the front (typically 40-44psi) rears I kept from 44-50psi.
The rears were wearing very evenly and had actually very little wear at 35k (tires are only rated at 40k if memory servs)
The fronts were worn down the middle and had much more wear.
I rotated the tires (I don't rotate until things are either unbalanced or wearing wrong especially on the 1st set of tires to see how the car is setup)
After "learning" how my car wears tires I plan on keeping the fronts at 50psi instead and reducing the rears since they don't have as much affect on fuel economy, by doing this after each rotation the wear location will be altered.
Also remember if the tire wears evenly at say 36psi and not evenly at 50psi if you wear them in at 50psi then reduce pressure later on the tire will "catch up" faster to being evenly worn because the majority of the weight will be on the edges while at 36psi with a worn center.
So what I am saying is that you can wear a tire evenly by altering its position or pressure occasionally.

oil pan 4 I worry about that exact thing. When I changed the tire pressure I only went up 4psi, I was running @35 psi, I did not notice a differance in coasting or fe. To be on the safe side I am going back down to 37 psi. No inspections in Mt,hehe.
I will post pics of the interior later btracing, it isnt quite done yet. For now I am leaving the door panels and dash alone.The previous owner had stuffed carpet insulation into the body cavities probably for sound deadening.
Those gold rims look good Neen, def considering them now.
And 34.89mpg avg for my trip thats a 20 mpg savings compared to my Suburban.

The last year I ran my 31'' goodyear RT-S tires they were worn down to about an 1/8'' over the wear bar. Since they were so worn down and I knew that I was getting new tires that winter I put 50 in them and got my best fuel mileage to date. That was 2010.
The ride was a little harsh.

I pulled the carpet and trim out of the rear half of my camaro in 2006 to clean it and possibily leave it stored in the shed.
After a week listening to all kinds of new road noises I reinstalled it.

This is always the best part about not having an interior, carpet many times helps rust along, the old cars you could see it and fix it, new ones its covered up and kept damp, I would "fix" the rust then put a coat of rhino liner or something similar on both sides, if you need to patch a hole the old black fiber roofing cement works wonders.

Thanks rmay635703, the only rust on the car is in the spare tire well, a little on drivers side foot well, and the paint on the rear hatch is bubbling a little around the window. I will be priming and painting soon. I think the hatch is leaking to. ![Frown](/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif)
