First white Xmas since 1964, while we're heading for the 3rd cold wave since the onset of winter.

(A cold wave here is 5 continuous days of freezing.)

And another 4" of global warming last night.

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia [the climategate folks],within a few years winter snowfall will become "a very rare and exciting event".

No talk about how GW was going to increase the snowfall.
Oh wait, that's probably based on new research which badly needs funding.

Those cold winters in the 19th century were brought on by HUGE volcanic eruptions in Southeast Asia.

The Register article is about a known error in the data, that has been removed. The overall conclusion is unchanged.

You didn't read the Guardian article, did you?

I can already hear the howls of execration: now you're claiming that this cooling is the result of warming! Well, yes, it could be. A global warming trend doesn't mean that every region becomes warmer every month. That's what averages are for: they put local events in context. The denial of man-made climate change mutated first into a denial of science in general and then into a denial of basic arithmetic. If it's snowing in Britain, a thousand websites and quite a few newspapers tell us, the planet can't be warming.
Yup, we're just a bunch of knuckle-dragging Neandertals, with no understanding of basic science or even arithmetic. Ones that ought to be just gotten rid of altogether, al la the 10:10 video, right, Neil?

Ever wonder if it's a good idea to belittle or outright insult us skeptics?

I already think about it. I don't just buy the cheapest thing available, I research the product, the company behind the product, where its manufactured, how it got to the store where I i'm going to buy it. It's called being a responsible consumer, more people should do it.

I agree 100%. any politician that values short term corporate profits above the long term welfare of the people has lost the ability to govern effectively. Vote them out.

Likewise, any politician that would vote for legislation that restricts the rights of the people, in the name of some deeply flawed politically driven "scientific" theory that ignores all sorts of real-world observations that disprove this theory, has lost the ability to govern effectively, and should be removed from office.
