Exclamation Eco-Rally Around the Capitol (eRAC 2014) 10/12/14

Announcing the best eco-compitition in the Mid-Atlantic Area!

This years biggest eco-rally for the PA/MD/DC/VA/WVA/NC area is just around the corner! :thumb up: On Saturay, October 11th, 2014, you can challenge your Ecomodder friends and family to a 1-lap eco-rally around the Washington, DC beltway. (64.6mi according to Google Maps)

We will be meeting at the Ravensworth Shopping Center (Safeway Parking lot) located at 5200 Port Royal Rd. N. Springfield VA at 2:00pm, rally will start at 3:00pm.

We will all fill up before and after at the Sunoco gas station on-site and have taped shut fuel doors during the rally.

There will be a 90min time frame in which to complete the Rally.

Participants will be divided into classes (based on vehicle entry):

Hybrid
Full gas
Diesel
Motorcycle over 700cc
Motorcycle under 700cc
Streamlined (boat tails, plexi noses, sealed doors)
Electric
Bone stock
Trucks
SUV

I'm in! Can you post the map you have made on Google?
And do things like grill blocks and wheel skirts count as streamlined? Or only more advanced things?

I would say only more advanced things.

Any thoughts to doing it Saturday instead? Sunday would put an out of towner like me getting home around 5am Monday (without stopping), and being at work at 7. Saturday lets us split the drive up.

I had chosen Sunday because of the typical traffic around DC. However, at 3pm on a saturday I suppose it wouldn't be too horrible either.

So, Saturday works, I'll make the appropriate changes.
