Ecomodder MPG signature "sticker"

Hello

I am ordering an Ecomodder sticker soon and had thought it would be neat to make a copy of my MPG signature banner and mount it above the sticker but in the inside using a clear piece of window cling or even tape. Then as I make improvements and the mileage goes up I can swap in a new one.

I don't want to get in trouble for any copyright issues so thought I had better ask first. Do the mod's have any problems with this?

My hopes are that the two in combination on the rear window (very visible with the speeds I drive. I'm always getting passed) might open up some dialogue and let people know what is possible. My truck looks very "normal". It might help dispelled the myth about ecomodding hyper-milers shutting off the engines of their UFO looking vehicles for the sake of saving a gallon or two of fuel every week.

Such a great idea! I’d gleefully rock a sticker of my mileage sig... while we’re on the subject of stickers, where would one get the curved ones, like what I seen on the smooth wheel covers in the MPGiata build?

^ That's a normal decal. I just traced an arc on the disc, cut the letters and stuck them on.

I thought of this once, but found that the resolution on the image was not good enough to submit to the online service I was contemplating, IIRC. I have made stickers myself ofpn the printer but they never last in the sun and heat/cold cycles. If you get a good durable plan using vinyl or other materials that can take the punishment of the elements for at least a year or two, I would be very interested. I love the idea of my EM graph and averages on the side window.

My idea was just a good laser printer and maybe legal sized paper. I'm not sure about the resolution though. Might get rather pixelized. I was going to just cut it out and use clear window cling to hold it in place. I fill up almost twice a week driving 600+ miles M-F so I figured maybe a month or so until I have to print a new one.

Any luck getting the white Ecomodder stickers yet? No hurry, just curious.

As a matter of fact, I had them in my hand last week. First order from a new supplier.

But I had to return them! They were pulling the backing off and some of it was sticking to the back of the vinyl. Something about settings on their cutter.

They're making up a new batch and we should have them next week.
