Ecomodding Across the Internet
Here's a post that mentions five favorite ecomods, and while it discusses then in some details, it also seems to miss some things, as well:
Five Strange Eco-Mods For Getting Maximum MPG
I dislike the word "strange" in the title, but I like that they used a picture of Dave Cloud's Dolphin. We should post useful responses and give practical real world experiences, to help educate folks outside our self-selected forum here on EM.
What other sites are discussing ecomods?

...and, create a thread for each one of those five so that GOOGLE can quickly link directly to our answers/discussions.

I have to say, I'm quickly becoming a fan of Green Car Reports. (And not just because they're covering ecomodding!)
There is more original and better writing on GCR than at AutoBlog Green. I actually registered to comment there last week (about the Dodge Dart Aero). Their editor is very well informed & replied in the comments with additional info not in the original article. Classy. I haven't left a comment on ABG for a long, long, time.

I agree Darin, 100%. John Voelcker and the other writers on the various Green Car Reports web sites are very good, and they are head and shoulders above ABG. I still check out both, and others including PluginCars.com.
It will help a lot when more cars come from the factory with "ecomods"; but we all need to carry the torch until they become commonplace.

I just got a call from a producer at WCVB TV, the local ABC affiliate, and we had a long chat on the phone about ecodriving and ecomodding. He wants to come here next week to shoot some footage, which is really cool! He has also been in touch with Chang Ho Kim about his 118MPG CR-X HF, so we may well be on TV (locally).
I also mentioned my CarBEN EV5 project, and my brother and sister-in-law's Leaf. Now I have to get some 1" foam...

...and, make sure the " ecomodder.com" decals are prominently visible in every picture or scene (wink, wink)!

I definitely already mentioned Ecomodder.com to the producer! He will checking out the thread on my xA, as well as looking for the boattail projects, and all the other ecomods that folks are doing here.

Well, I just finished doing the TV "shoot" for Chronicle! They probably got plenty of material, with several shots outside the xA, me driving on the local streets, then inside for some ecodriving techniques; and also a fair amount on my CarBEN EV5 design: the 3D model and CAD drawings, as well as the three scale models and the full sized pieces.
I'll know more about possible broadcast date, etc. and when I do, I'll post it here.
