Quick and dirty but very nice! I guess your car doesn't burn much oil, I'd never be able to tape seams on my old Saturn becuase I checked my oil every couple days lol.

To have 268,000 miles on it, it sure does not burn as much oil as you would think. I have a slooow leak also, it is about 1.5 quarts every 5,000 miles.

The belly pans are working great already. We had rain today and this usually means decreased fuel economy. Not this time. I averaged 45.5 going to church and back, in the rain. I was cruising in the low 50's instant readout

Discovered something interesting during my commute to school. I EOC to a stop sign. I started the engine and took off, supposedly in open loop. I had the fuel trims up on my SG and it read 4-7% LEAN before I felt it go into closed loop. I was like, "Wat."

I need to research this more... I have always assumed enrichment after start-up.

Covered the outside edges of my front grill block to allow no air inside, other than the place I have cut out. This was some advice that CO ZX2 gave in one of his threads, and you listen to a man who got 107 mpg out of his ZX2!

And it seemed to pay off. This is my highest short trip to date, roughly 2.2 miles of country side.

Finally made wheel skirts that are permanent yesterday! No more hearing them rub the tire if a vehicle gets too close

This is a simple process that can add a lot of life to your skirts. I went the more expensive route, but it is worth it to me.

Removed old wheel skirts that were held on with duct tape

These are the items used to fasten the new coroplast down. These tabs and 1/4" aluminum bar can be found at Lowe's. I spent ~$12 on this.

Next came measuring the width of the wheels wells. Roughly 30" for the ZX2. The ends are hand bent to fit, making sure they clear the tire at all times. Next, I used 1" screws with a 5/16" head to screw them in place, along with the tabs.

Next is cutting the coroplast to fit WELL. This took longer than I expected, and the time is worth it. Paint them with whatever color you want. I chose black. Screw them down and you have some bangin' lookin' covers now!

Beautiful and functional

I am ordering some EV6 injectors to replace my EV1s. It is reported that these injectors give a 1-2 mpg boost due to better fuel atomization.

I finally got my 50+ mpg round trip today! 61 mile round trip with 48.4 there and 53.2 for a 50.8 mpg average

But the sad part is that I had to do quite a bit of city driving today too. I went from a 53 mpg tank to a 46 mpg tank quicker than a feather in a vacuum

The tank average sits at 47.4 now... see what I can do on the way to school tomorrow!
