1999 Accord for sale near me

Just like the last two Accords, this is a coupe, so again, I don't know how much of the exterior would be useful to me [none]. The wheels look like stock 4-lug hubcaps painted black. I have silver paint for redoing mine [and clear coat]. The front passenger fender is even worse than mine, so that wouldn't help. The owner says that it only has 150,000 miles.

I think that I bought mine with 170k and I nearly have 220,000:

For sale. Has some issues--needs a new battery, alternator, and some work, but overall a great car.
Asking $700 or best offer
I don't think that I have changed an Accord alternator, just the starter and distributor, although I have a fully-charged Accord battery.

It will start with a good battery, but bad alternator, right? I wouldn't try to drive it home like that, though.

I haven't asked what her crossroads are, but it would be 23 miles roundtrip from home to downtown in her town. U-Haul says that would be $64.90 plus 79¢ per mile, theoretically $18.17, ∴ $83.07.

She is asking $700, but there is no way that I am offering that much for a nonrunning car.

The only alternator in my area is $200 and the best discount that I can find is my Veteran one, so $180, although Fix-it Angel makes that look easy.

I thought the best batteries were at Walmart. They have one for $80 with 650 cranking amps and 525 CCA.

O'Reilly and AutoZone would charge nearly $150 for something similar, although at least AutoZone price-matched Walmart the last time that I needed a battery.

I was curious what work it needs besides the battery and alternator, but as usual, the owner wasn't helpful:
"Does it currently run and drive?"
"It needs a new battery and some other work before it runs"
"How long has it been since it ran?"
"I’m not good with cars so it may just be the battery and a ground cable. I haven’t started in in more then 5-6 months I parked it and haven’t messed with it since."

Okay. It ran half a year ago. It must have had some problem or she would have done something with it before she wanted the latest iPhone or whatever.

$83.07 to get it home.
193.21 for the alternator.
086.60 for the battery

Then, as long as it doesn't need any other major repairs, allegedly it would be worth $1,664.

If I paid $700 then supposedly I would have her running for $1,062.88, but I think that it would be worth swapping out my alternator so that I don't buy parts for a car with a bad drivetrain.

All right. Let's see if she answers any other questions. I have three clients throughout the day tomorrow.

O'Reilly's has a 20% off coupon through Christmas Day

That would save me another $20 on that alternator!

It took a week, but I finally convinced that crazy girl to let me look at her car, not that she bothered to show up. Her grandpa and I swapped in my battery and tried to check out the grounds, but we couldn't get any life out of it, and neither of us cared to spend more time on the car of a brat.

He told me to offer $200 and see what she said.

She didn't respond, so I messaged her again, and then she went full brat:

"No like I didn’t even know why you’d go look at it"
"It’s clearly posted for $700 or best offer and of you we’re planning on low balling the entire time I don’t know why you wasted anyone’s times"
"And btw it’s getting sold for $600"

Well, the ad is still up. Should I re-extend my offer?

You offer her $150! Let me know what she says!

I actually want the car, but she refuses to cooperate!

Considering you offered less than 1/3 of asking price there is no indication that you actually want the car. You did a classic Craig's List low-ball. (The kind I don't even respond to and block the number if they send another)

Do you sell nonrunning cars and expect what running cars are worth?
