As a retired engineering tech and Green Grand Prix volunteer I have seen all kinds of electric vehicles. A human powered velomobile should weigh less than 70 lbs.

17.x years ago (I'm shocked it was that long ago) my buddy Ivan & I took delivery of an old forklift that we scavenged for parts to make the car:

No doubt.
But a pedal-powered Metro that was formerly an EV would have had infinitely more entertainment value!

Drill it full of speed holes. Swiss cheese everything. Center drill all the bolts.

I believe The Toecutter is a member here and has 2 such velomobiles.
Both? have E-bike hardware fitted and are his daily transport.
