I've worked in IT. There's a switch somewhere.
Elon probably doesn't have a hand in it.
I hereby declare myself off topic.

Of course there's a switch of some sort, abbeit in plug form or fuse or wall panel circuit breaker. If it's on fire, you wanna pull the power input

Yes, there's a 'switch,' but it's not physically opened or closed by a human being.
Tesla is heavily involved in the technology, offering it, along with their grid-scale battery 'farm' hardware.
Every GENERAC gas-powered home generator has, as a requirement of the National/ISO Electrical Code, automatic grid isolation switchgear which isolates the home's wiring from the grid during a power outage.

IIRC Texas is the only State where control is local, not national.

Even a cloud passing over a solar farm, or wind lapse on a turbine can set things in motion instantaneously. Thanks TESLA !

Tesla didn't invent that. Wide area automated control systems like you just described is a scata system. It's been around since at least the 1990s and is a product of the military industrial complex.

Tesla is the 'first' domestic manufacturer to offer grid-scale storage with instantaneous bi-directional power flow switching.
The National Laboratories ( socialism ) probably 'invented' what you describe .

No hybrid inverters have been around since the 1990s. If Tesla was the first company to scale it up to utility size I would hardly call that "inviting".
That about like saying they invented the electric pickup truck.
