Ruined. Only if you consider not being able to pull off a major financial scam again to be ruined.
He's been laughing all the way to the bank, and he's made several trips.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of all that. I love learning new stuff.

I'll just point back to http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...tml#post496842.
Mark Frohnmayer chose not to name the company after himself. And, like Musk and Paypal, he made his grubstake from selling his interest in Garage Games.

Tuning an old Suzuki G10 engine is somewhat far from "trying to reinvent" at all. When it comes to "unique" selling proposition, Elio could have tried to partner with other startups like Pinnacle Engines or LiquidPiston.

I bet even If they just made the frame, suspension, and a simple body as a kit car it would cost more than what they were pitching for a turn key car with warranty.

I'm still sad that Edison2 went down and took the inwheel suspension with it, Inrekor showed a flat-pack VW floorpan replacement and then went dark, Tucker never shipped his sports car...

Or the concept that Alex Tremulus did for him:
I'd like to see Randy Grubb's interpretation of that.

Before we elevate Elon Musk to sainthood, let's not forget to mention the $5B in federal funds his company has consumed. Don't get me wrong -- I think Tesla and Space-X are AWESOME efforts -- and apparently Uncle Sam does too.
