He's shifting it into a higher gear:

So it's not quite dead yet.

Basically the roll cage should be able to withstand a static load of three times the vehicle gross weight. Right now people are more safety conscious than they used to be here with cars being advertised with crash ratings and sensing devices. The state laws will still consider it a motorcycle. If he wants to sell cars then add the fourth wheel.

Even though Trump has expressed a protectionist stance toward American industries, I wouldn't hold my breath for him to give Elio any sort of handout.

Meanwhile, back in the Whittaker neighborhood, that hotbed of anarchism:

THANK YOU!

Many thanks to all of you, our supporters, believers and investors, who have delivered the largest pure-crowd fundraise for a vehicle company. We raised almost $20M in just over a month. The most exciting part of all of this effort, aside from the overwhelming vote of confidence from the community, is that we can now build out and move into our new factory location, ramp up the production line, and deliver vehicles to our early customers – including those who have been patiently following for multiple years[*]. All hyperbole aside, this is the single most significant milestone for Arcimoto to date, and we have you to thank for it.

*That would include me. My reservation number is in the mid-100s.

Is Elio American? North Korea has a better claim to the land of unicorns than the USA. Maybe Elio can get a North Korean government grant and some space in an old unicorn cave to imagine making their cars for the next few years. They should be able to imagine a 122mpg trike for $4300 with the advantage of being in an actual unicorn cave.

Aren't unicorn caves sanctuaries protected by the government?

Still won't have twin motors with the differential in software. And torque vectoring through software updates down the road.

I still miss the Edison2 people.

Software differential? You mean two speed controllers with the same torque request?

That would be fantastic... You could mess with that in so many ways to create the ultimate in traction & yaw control
