A "What to Look For in a new car" gallery

I think you could draw more visitors to this web site by creating a gallery of photos of parts of production cars highlighting fuel saving features - maybe best and worst examples...

ie my '95 Saab 9000 aero has aerodynamic design features that I've only recently begun to understand and see the value of - as such I'll look for them in my next car purchase.

So, here's an opportunity to rank cars by those design features or simply highlight them.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'll start.

Mirrors create a large amount of drag on a car because of the wake created behind the mirror. Smaller more aerodynamic mirrors especially ones with a small connecting arm will reduce drag.

Good idea Sunwapta. We're actually in the process of making a "master" mods list to post. Adding images as examples of each is a good next step.

That's great. Clearly only a small percentage of the population will ever get involved with the actual mods - and I note that those mods mostly seem to occur on cars already getting great mileage.

So pointing out to the large population that will never get involved with ecomodding, the most capable production car design features - spanning all makes and models of cars - (and why they absolutely must have them) would instead attract a huge number of visitations to this site and might even be capable of changing the world a little bit.
