emergany vehicles and selfish drivers
Hi
was driving through town near a school and shop around time kids get picked up from school. was driving at recommended 20mph. when a braindead motorist thougth his people carrier could shunt my 3ton + motorhome off road !!!!!! Any way heard a siern and saw blue flashing lights about 50 feet to rear of me. found a large bus lay by to pull into and brain dead driver swered around me unaware of sirens and flashing lights straoght in to path of an ambulance which had to take evisive action. braindead started to abuse me and use very clourful language and used his fingers to reinforce his point. then took off at high speed to local supermarket. well if had hit me in rear first point of impact would be his windscreen then ambulance would not be needed just a body bag. whete do these people come from and take such stupid and dangerous risks. school, sweet shop and kids is a mix which should urge great caution.
I have been in a back of an ambulance fighting for my life after contracting septersimer and pneumonia. i was less than 2 hrs from death idiot like him when i was being rushed to hospital could of put odds of my surival very low and they werent very high at the time. took me 3 months to return to work. spent 24 hrs unconious in a high depencey ward. 10 days later released to recover at home. Now if he was in my sitution in back of

We got people who drive on the shoulder, sidewalk, etc to avoid school buses.
Those in a bigger hurry than me, I just wave them on.
I was at a 4 way stop making a right on red, but the sign said not here. I had an a hole cab driver behind me honking and a cop in front of me in his left hand turn lane. There was room between me and the middle lane, so I waved the cab on.
The cab started to pull around me then he too saw the cop and started to reverse back to his spot behind me. I continued to wave and started to honk my horn. He just ignored me from that point and behaved himself.

I love my Mom...but as much as it's a story I now cherish and which she and I laugh about, I have to rat her out.
We were stuck in unusual and unexpected traffic one day. I was about 8 years old, so that would put this story in the early 90s and she would have been driving the triple black '65 Buick Electra my Dad bought with an intention to restore and keep driving. Anyhow, this ambulance in front of us flipped on the lights and blared the horn, and my Ma? She followed it across 4 lanes of surface street traffic and down the road for a bit to make a cheater right turn across traffic. In the super-conspicuous, huge, black Buick. We sure got home a lot faster, but it wasn't until much later it dawned in me what a jerk move that was like I said though, it's good for a laugh and I get to tease her about her immigrant driving (she is a resident alien since 1973, and the only native European I know who absolutely cannot drive stick despite numerous attempts by her first husband, then my father, and lastly by myself, to teach her. Go figure!). She drives a bit like a NYC cab driver anyway (words of one of her co-workers, not me)...four broken motor mounts at 78k miles and and average MPG of 18.8mpg in her Mazda3 kind of bear out her driving though

Oh. Just some gizmo. Mirrors come standard, but people do not use those!
