That makes no sense. I hope that no aspiring eco-modder will take that to heart. Those safety features are there to protect you in the event that you can't do so yourself. By taking that out, it leaves you that much more vunerable on the road. And for the record, taking the airbag off won't give you better handling.
I'm pretty sure it's illegal also.

And what about animals... You can't always avoid a large animal jumping into your headlights. wear your seat-belt. Pretty sure its illegal to sell a car who's airbag has been tampered with, unless you are a professional restoring a car post-deployment.

If we were to make everything illegal, it still wouldn't lessen human stupidity any.

Anyway, I'm beginning to find that this thread is becoming a "Generally Inefficient Discussion..." Who else has gone back to a dealership and compared what they drive to what's on the lot?

Not me, I'm happy with what I have. Why replace something that's reliable? Besides, I wouldn't want to waste anyones time. Not to mention the laughing stalk my Civic would cause when I pulled into the stealership. At least 15 years of winter salt!

At 47 MPG, on my last tank, I sort of fell like I'm sticking it to the Man. He sticks it to us everyday.

Build this and I'll buy it.
Cash or check, their choice.

Since it was made before Win 95, I would think they could make a few improvements.

Never have been a fan of new cars. Too much electronics on them Not a fan of the ride or the quality of them. After having older mercs in the family, Which are Agruably some of the best built vehicles of all time and having my big ol steel tank get backed though a wall by my mom with NO damage to my car. I'd prefer it over the new cars like the 2010 accord which i got to test drive and was VEEEEEERY dissapointed with

She's a bute Clark! Is that her latest pic?Is this the car that was rebuilt & bought back & forth between friends. Great looking paint & detail.

If this is the car, what kind of welder did you use? I need to do some work on an old horse trailer this spring.

BTW, the improvements are mostly frills.

Great looking Civic, you're both right, who needs a new car!

Dave

I do like the looks of that new Crosstour though!

I've made the mistake of going to the dealership with my Commutacar. I won't ever do that again! I ended up feeling like the celebrities that drives over paparatcie to get out.

I kept getting the "We can take it on trade" Over my dead body you will. Strange feeling to have multiple salemen harrassing you at the same time. Why would they think I want to get rid of what I am driving more than see what "deals" they had to offer?

I'm not defending the pushy salesmen, but most people who visit car dealerships are interested in buying a new car.
