I wasn't implying that 20 mpg is easy. I was implying that it's possible. And an 82% increase is going to take lots of work, but quite a few folks on this site run >80% over EPA.

It isn't physically impossible to get 20 with a V8 4x4... and yet nobody is really doing it

Your getting 18.5mpg which is a big improvement from what Im getting. Is yours a 4x4?

Let's see...your own V8 4x4 Auto has a 3 tank average of 19.18 mpg. So, you're claiming to be within 4% of the limits of physical possiblity?

I've already been 'round and 'round with someone who claimed it would be "easy" to get 30 with such a truck. Well... where is this magic person and truck?

How about we stop arguing about what's possible and give Steven some tips on how to do the best he can with what he's got--be that 13, 15, 18, 20, 30, or 1,000 mpg? He's starting at 11 mpg, let's see what he can do.
