well for my next mod it will be a full belly pan. i finally found coroplast in my area for only $17 for a full sheet. now I just have to get my trailer tags done. Then i can get my truck empty and go pick it up. then after the belly pan it off to the inside for some instruments. vacuum, mpguino, volt meter. add the kill switch and alternator kill switch then i'm done. I am still kicking the idea around about the no power stearing... I dont know yet.

And they pay for themselves on the first use.

Because I didn't have enough going on in my life, I just fell into a 1.6 litre diesel engine with a lower geared transmission than the one in my Jetta. It's out of an '85 Golf. Got the whole car( not quite worth saving) for $350. TMFP, and here comes winter. Sometimes I even make ME wonder.

My son has renamed my car as the "Franken-Jetta". Guess I should change the garage.

Been waiting for over 10 years to get a diesel for a veggie conversion. Only thing is, I won't be able to compete with you guys. Guess I'll just have to take over the diesel column.

Well, the alignment was pretty far out. Too much toe front and rear. I also found a sticking brake. It coasts so much better now. It probably won't show for a couple of weeks because it won't stop raining and people won't stop crashing and causing delays on my commute! I can't believe my mpg was so good this summer with these issues....can't wait to see what it's like when it gets warm

I've been having some other issues with the car, but with 299,197 miles on it, I can't really complain. Got a worn out acc. pulley and it wont' get over 180 degrees...so I still got a little mpg to be gained.

As I was laying under the car, adjusting the tie rods, I began to dream and plan a belly pan. I got some work to do before that though....

I've also got a Diesel project I'm itching to start

Sweet finds. I'm going to look into those alignment rigs. We do alignments at the shop, but converting the sensors from 18 wheeler size to car size sucks.

Diesel Escort for the win.

No, not the escort
It already has a diesel, but is really in need of some mods. I'll start a thread about it when the time comes.

More people need to do thier own alignments. It really isn't as hard as it may seem. Just some math and careful prep work needed.

Got my Caster/Camber Gauges - RPW Caster-Camber Gauge on order. Should save a bundle on alignments. Thanks for the tip Ty.
