That 2JZ engine is a sweet, sweet engine. They are stout.

Is there room enough under the hood for it?? It ain't long, but it ain't short either.

Yes it will fit it's a little close to the radiator when all fitted, but height isn't an issue with a rear sump oil pan. It's going to stay n/a for a while until I get the itch for more power. But 220hp and 220tq n/a should move an 80 Toyota pickup std cab short bed 4wd just fine vs a carb 20r.
A friend of mine did his 2nd 1983 with the turbo 2jzgte and when you step into the pedal the rear end doesn't like to stay behind the front bumper. Very fun truck, but I like the power and reliability aspect. Plus 220tq will allow less struggle on engine = less fuel required for target rpm for driving. (Plus gears, tires, etc...)
