If they add vortex generators and cover them with fastskinz they'll have to upgrade the brakes to keep the thing from accelerating out of control.

Lessee, there's the natural gas that goes into the fertilizer, the pesticides that come from petroleum, the diesel that moves the tractor all through the growing season, and the harvester, and the truck, the energy that is used in the ethanol plant, and then the truck to get it to the refinery, then the truck again to get it to the fuel stations -- and then there is the small matter of the 50 gallons of water per mile to get the ethanol, too.

Vortex Generators and FastSkinz...

LOL! And how about putting on some dimples, like on a certain electric car, that when I see it, I want to start quoting the poem:

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe...

(Funny thing is, I kinda like them, dimples and all. If Aptera doesn't hurry up and go national, I may get one of the NMGs when a REAL JOB comes along, since they're talking $30K for a lithium-powered car...)

Wha? A couple of years ago I was hearing EIGHT! Now it's FIFTY??? I'd rather have water to drink, personally...

If there wasn't a net profit for everyone in the chain, we wouldn't have ethanol, or its high protein feed byproducts.

FYI, hp2g not even on the xprize team list. That pretty much settles it.

Damn, what a glut of misinformation that was. Just tell people what they want to hear?

Thanks a whole bunch Doug.

Math is delicious.

BS is not.

400hp and 100mpg would be a lot of fun. Since I don't need 400hp, can you whistle up a 100hp/400mpg setup? I mean actual mpg, nothing relying on more math than I can do on my cellphone.

No?

Okay then.

Though they still actively claim to be "official contenders" and are now ready to market "something" based on the xprize hype they created (snapshot from this morning):
