Good. I was all turned around in circles because I hadn't explained it clearly when I went back my explanation didn't give me a clear picture of what was wrong. Good job figuring that one out!

I'm curious, how do I get on the list??? I've been looking but haven't found how to do so, and I'm not on any of the lists currently.

And just a suggestion, while I'm posting on this, SUVs should have their own category. They aren't a truck, and they're not a car either..... If that's not an option, good luck deciding on where to put my compact SUV!

What did you set your 'vehicle type' setting to?

I would say (as just another forum member) that you can set it to either category... car or truck. This isn't intended to be scientific and there aren't any prizes for this, so whatever you feel would be the closest fit would work. There are so many sub and sub-sub categories that it's just not worth dealing with all that... what do you do with a hybrid truck? Should a station wagon be a truck or a car? What if it's a really big station wagon that looks more like an SUV? What about crossovers? In the end, it doesn't really matter... set your vehicle type to car or truck and then you will find it in the associated list.

Hi refuge ... looks like your "vehicle type" is currently set to "other".

I agree with NachtRitter - edit RAVadoodle to set it to whichever category is the best match (car or truck), and you will appear in the lists.

PS - I see your original goal of getting 30 mpg has been beaten many times on individual tanks, and you're really close to to exceeding 30 on your "lifetime" measurement too. Congrats!

Quote:
  • Lifetime Fuel Economy: 29.53
  • 90-day Fuel Economy: 30.02
  • 3-tank Fuel Economy: 32.27
  • EPA Rating (% over): 21 (42.9524%)

Thanks you guys! It didn't even occur to me to change the vehicle type. Duh!

NachtRitter: Yes, I agree. There are a lot of types of vehicles.... But at least with an SUV category, there would be some kind of middle ground.... It was just a thought.

MetroMPG: Lol, I started hypermiling when I got my RAV back at the end of 2010. I was skeptical and never imagined this kind of mileage! So my goal was modest to make it more achievable. But my goal has been upped now that I know what is possible. A constant average around 35 MPG is my new goal. I expect to move into our city sometime before Winter. So that goal should keep me going for quite some time as I won't get many opportunities to get any hwy miles. 100% above EPA would be my ultimate goal.... Where there's a will, there's a way!!!

I'm going to start work on a full belly pan today. I'm still waiting for supplies to come in the mail, so I won't be able to get very far today. But still, it's a start!

Wow.... #7 on the top 10 of the truck category.... Okay, off to the car category then.
Lol. Wow, #324.... Okay, that's what I was talking about. Some middle ground would be nice. Oh well.....

Of course, I'm still the only one in the "SUV" team competition. Where's all the comradery????

You may have to go actively recruit!

Of course, if we make a new category for SUV/CUV, you will be the first & only one in it until other owners change their vehicle category. Which means you will be #1.

I like to focus on % over EPA, making the most out of what you have. Your in 91st there, not too bad. Stratus is at 37 which is a surpise, hopefully I can get Cobalt to the Stratus' 60% over. Stratus is I think the 2nd best over EPA with automatic tranny, have to get to 63% over to be #1.

MetroMPG: Recruiting sounds like a good plan! I think my signature is a good place to start.

roosterk0031:
You're right. % over EPA is probably a better competition when you're dealing with so many different varieties of vehicles. And looking at the trucks, I'd be #7 in the % category too. Starting off so high isn't any fun! And winning isn't the goal for me. It's having little goals to help me reach my ultimate goal. That is what's nice about these kinds of lists.
Thanks for the encouragement! And I hope you reach your goals too!!!

Winning is the goal, but we're all winning together. We're really just "competing" against each other to see who wins the most.
