Ford might be trying to create a Mustang-based "design language", quite similar to how Porsche did with the 911.

Over a year old, I wonder if that project is still on track.

When I was seriously looking at the BMW i3 I got over my phobia of 4-doors partly because they hid the door handles, and partly because of the way they concealed the seal via overlapping door seams.

We we told that the Bronco and Mustang names would become multi-vehicle brands, will be many years if ever that Ford will abandon this strategy.

I don't think Inifiniti's marketing and or labeling of the G35X and G37X did them any favors with the distinctly different coupe and sedan models. The confusion it would cause was easily identifiable my opinion - clash of cultures. If they really wanted to stick with numbers and letters G37-ZX would have some meaning, 370Z roots and X for AWD.

At least Mustang is a name and not a number.

I despise letters and numbers as a name. Perhaps it's a way to minimize offending people with a name since it's relatively easy to use one that means something else in another language.

Then there's the Chevy Bolt, which when googled shows you bolt parts for Chevy's various models. That was a dumb name.

Yeah, I'll add it to the pile of things Honda fails to bring to the US

Howsabout Roman numerals? Types I, II, and III? The Type 901 was released as the 911*, because Peugeot got there first.

*Today we should remember 2012-09-11 and Benghazi
