Finally got my Maverick Hybrid yesterday, first drive proved the 40+ mpg potential
The Maverick should make a good replacement for both the Volt that I traded in and my full size truck which I will sell soon.

Are you keeping the Volt?
I know I keep saying this, but we really should meet up on one of my migratory snowbird trips to Z Hills. Now there's another incentive to see your fleet!

I traded Ruby in on the Maverick, trying to go down to 1 car/truck and this was a good tradeoff since I don't tow a big trailer now and the mpg on long trips in the Maverick will be about what I was getting in the Volt
Yeah you should stop in some time when you're down, I work from home now so I'm here most of the time

Sounds good! October-ish.
A PHEV Maverick would be quite the Swiss Army knife, eh?

I have 4 vehicles.
I wouldn't recommend it!

I don't remember how many vehicles an uncle of mine used to have at once, yet some weren't functional and ended up being either traded or scrapped. Had it been easier to fit a VW Kombi with ABS brakes and a sutable automatic transmission been easier to find here, I guess that would be the only way my uncle would eventually quit hoarding jalopies...

First tank in the Maverick hybrid went over 550 miles at 39.9 mpg with a mix of city, highway and towing miles. I'm pretty impressed so far, the truck is doing exactly what I was hoping it would and I don't have any complaints so far

Google says that the Nissan Frontier's short bed is 59.5 inches long, but the Explorer Sport Trac was only 48".
The Santa Fe's bed is 48.4-52.1" long.
The Subaru Baja's truck bed was 41.5"
I thought the Avalanche bed was tiny, but apparently it is 63.3"
Then there is this modified Ram 4,500 that for some reason a sheikh had modified with a 16' bed, which is in a museum for some reason:

Surprised that I have not seen the PHEV addition being mentioned yet. If the price is right, it is likely where my money will be going.
Some conflicting info on whether AWD will really be part of that package, and other sources claim a new 2.1L engine to go with it.
Personally, a PHEV with a solid 30 miles of EV range might see me filling the tank less than twice a year.
Hope we see something more official soon, as it would allow me go from 2 cars down to 1. (I love my i3, but I hate having the Flex just sit unloved 95% of the year while I continue to pay for insurance on it.)

Thanks, I didn't know a PHEV was in the works. That would be great for me, too.
I've heard rumors that an EV version was coming, too. That's what I really want but it might be hard to wait.
