Fuel log: graph v 1.1 is online

This is the Blackfly's fuel log graph.

It's v 1.0.

You will see your vehicle's graph the next time you add or edit a fill entry. (IE if you want to see it now, just go "edit/submit" on one of your entries.)

There's much more that needs to be added to it, but I just want to get this out there for now. Perfect is the enemy of good! Especially when it comes to getting things launched.

At a minimum, eventually the graph will also show:

1 - cumulative ("lifetime") mpg as a line
2 - EPA combined rating (line)
3 - temperature (probably line also)

The bar width & spacing is dynamic. The more entries you have in your log, the thinner they get, and if they get too thin for the smallest font size, the MPG label disappears as well.

OK, everybody: now inundate me with additional features you'd like to see on this!

Very nice.
And yes, please do add dates.

I realize that the spacing of the entries can make it difficult to show dates. Maybe one date per every 4 or 6 vertical bars? My tanks are so close together; showing a date more often than that would be impossible.

Darin - That graph of my gas log that I showed you had dynamic X-axis labeling....it showed each month as intervals on the gas log. That might be worth showing as it can stay clean and still give a good indication of tank fillups since some of us only fill up once a month.

Being able to enter values in L and Km would be good if its not already possible, it sucks having to convert them to US values... (If it is I will do my fuel log here)

I like a clean look of the graph. I would like to see some dates along the horizontal axis. I don't like the temperature line idea if it clutters things up too much.

I dont what the graph looking like cleanmpg's graphs (way too much going on).

Agreed. Ultimately, I'd like to have the user choose the units, but that's probably a ways off.

I think for cases such as yours, I'm going to create 2 graphs. One with the lifetime mpg, and a second with a maximum of "N" bars, with spacing that permits a mpg & date label per bar.

TomO: the CMPG X axis spacing is date driven. I don't want to take that route, but I will add dates.
