Future mods list.

I decided to make a list of future mods/progress with my turboed Sol.

My Game plain.

1) Run with the windows up this time and run when its cooler weather so me and the wife will be comfortable. Edit Increase tire pressure from 40psi to 50psi.

2)Change the light load fuel cells with my engine management system from
15.5 A/F to 17:1 A/F ratio.

3)Run my home built lean burn spark plugs with an A/F ratio around 20:1
This mod I'm the most interested in. I have done some testing with it but nothing more then a few miles. With these plugs the engine won't miss fire at 20:1 at light load. But I'm not sure if the BSFC will be any better then the 17:1 A/F ratio.

4)Front aero mods. Cover up 90% of the grill and running light holes.

5)Kamm back and wheel well skirts and pizza pan hub caps.

All mods will be with the same gas station fuel and the same route of 144miles.
I will also be doing these at 65mph because any slower I will get ran over

I personally wouldn't bother with 60 psi: http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...ures-2721.html

Also, can you describe your plugs a little bit? I suppose they're not just the some Insight OE plugs

They're a spark plug that has a small prechamber built into them.

This prechamber allows a richer condition to take place within it verses the lean condition throughout the rest of the combustion chamber.

This helps it ignite the fuel being closer to stoichiometry. At that point it develops larger kernel then normal that helps ignite the leaner area in the combustion area to the outer boundary area.

There's more to it, but that's it in a nutshell.

Pro, how do you make sure that the rich mixture gets into the prechamber?

It basically works by doubling the surface area around the electrode. But at the same time keeping this area confined. The fuel tends to collect in this chamber due to the low pressure the chamber creates.

So far it has worked as far as there isn't any miss fire at 20:1. But I don't have a clue if it will work by increasing fuel mileage?

Time will tell?
