Actually, Turtle is in awesome condition and it doesn't burn any oil at all or have any downshift grind issues. Everything electronic works perfectly, the cosmetics are almost perfect (other than the front bumper paint color and chips). The previous owners took some awesome care of it! As far as driveability and looks, I got way more than three grand worth when I bought it. Its only weakness is the aging IMA battery, but even that is still functional.
I was more interested in swapping the OEM tires/rims, front bumper, and anything that looks any better than Turtle's.
Sigh . . . . . it looks like my kid does want this one, lol!

Well heck, I'd do exactly that then - buy it, and take the bumper / wheels for yourself.

I would love to take it off your hands! I have wanted to try it out for a while now. You should already have my address. How's $5 for shipping?
|
Took the throttle smoothing circuit off today, just waiting on your address to ship it out. I could NOT find the paperwork, but I'm sure the directions are on IC somewhere.
I also still have the old OEM EGR valve packaged up waiting on a taker. QC, did you say you wanted it?

You're in a big state, man.
You'll have to be willing to drive to get one like I did. This one has been on there a while, you could probably get it for nothing and build it back up:

" I bought this car from a little old lady ", wow - If i had a car to sell and i actually did buy it from a little old lady, i wouldn't have put that in the ad, just because it sounds so fake.
Cow, thanks for the link. I missed that one.
I have a Civic that runs fine, but it sure would be nice to have an Insight .
With the Insight, my main gripe would be the lack of space in the back for any large paintings I want to transport.
I can't afford to insure two cars, but i need the space in back for the art.
I guess i could always buy a trailer, right ?

Welcome!
Just tear out the little storage well, throw out the spare tire and you pretty much double the storage area!

Talk to Ecky, he and his dad installed a hitch for a small trailer on his car.

The Insight has more cargo room than any Civic, unless you're talking about one of the hatches with folding seats. I think it's ~16 cubic feet for an Insight vs ~11 for a Civic, or ~18 for a hatch with the seats down.
There are a few for sale in Florida in great shape for ~$3000, come on down and grab one!
