Upon further research I see the VW's rated 100HP @ 4000 rpms! That just might work...

for your project i would whole-heartedly recommend a cool turbo diesel if you can get your hands on one... they are all over the place in central america on small pickups and suvs. also the nissan frontier came with a killer turbo diesel in other countries...

What a sweet deal~ eng/trans/harness/etc. for $1350??? But while I've been out of touch with automotive diesels for the past few years, I still recognize VeeDubs are the KING~ and still the only D-motor on my potential playlist.... I want something I can get parts for on any SUNDAY....

Here is an 84 Sentra diesel in Little Rock, just over 100k miles. Original EPA highway was 49 MPG, high speed engine with good power and economy.

Sorry old guy~ but for the previously mentioned parameters Sentra's ruled out.

Welcome to EM, and sorry about that.

When you login, check the "Remember Me?" box.

Also, all long posts on all forums are at risk of being timed out. It could happen if your internet provider goes offline or it could happen if the Ecomodder server goes down. For super long posts, use Notepad to do the typing and then copy-paste it into the reply box.

Web browers are killer aps until the web stops working, then they're dumbo apps.

Thanks Carlo~ but yer tellin me old news. I've been working/building/programming computers since the only color you could get was monitor yellow. You can help us ALL out by telling us what YOUR timer's set at, so I know how to handle the situation. That is NOT too much to ask....

STILL waiting for a response~ when do we time out?? Why the continual error messages? I chose NOT to deal with the internet BS from the support level YEARS ago, yet when I ask for support....? AGAIN~ what is this page's time-out set at? AM I ASKING TOO MUCH?
