Suzanne said:However, if someone new learns to modify their driving, think more about their style of driving, or, maybe even become a hypermiler and join as a member of ecomodder to learn more - because of taking the first simple step of adding GasPods to their car - then, I think we have to agree that is a good thing.
2 thoughts:
1. That's the 'placebo effect'.
2. And selling something with that as the intended result is 'kinda' fraud.......

I am struck by how lock step she is with the 'business model' ....mass testing.....posting non-tested results......
Very similar to the infomercial business model.
Suzanne, check with someone above your paygrade and ask if the will send a sample to one of our main ecomodders who has offered to do a REAL a-b-a test.
The reason he wont approve it is because the 'business model or marketing plan' is based on the response of uniformed users.

Odd that she quit after just 12 posts.

I was surprised she came back after almost 4 months. She may not have quit...

Now, back to BeerPods

If so then 99% of it is negative like the magnets thread, the remainder is posted by people selling them or who really really believe in bambi, sorry, stuff.

I didn't volunteer for testing but if it is a definite aid then an A-B-A test would seem sensible IMHO. Most EM'ers could do this and record / report back and most other EM'ers would also point out flaws and mistakes asap.

I'm happy to test, on the basis as stated in terms of cost etc. But actually I think your car would be a better test IMHO - and it is closer to them, but lets see if they come back and accept the challenge.

Otherwise we adopt the position that as we have seen no proof that they do work, we conclude that they do not.

As for beer...

VGs actually do something.
But wether they reduce FC is another matter altogether .

I've tested glider VGs (dimple tape) on Hägar, and was rewarded with less noise around the A-pillar.
With the tape gone now, I have more noise.
Though it's become hard to hear with a grinding wheel bearing.

I've seen bugger all effect of the dimple tape on the rear end of the vehicle - the dimples are simply too small to effect the disturbed airflow back there.

But Susanne says their pods aren't VGs ...

This is the key, I believe they are created by combining unicorn and white rhino horn with the dew of rarest orchid in the upper Amazon, collected by a lady between the age of 29 and 30 with brown eyes only on each February the 29th. These ingredients are transported by trained albatross across the wide open Pacific to a monastery in Tibet, where they are molded by hand under the watchful eye of Prince Phillip and Madonna. Once they are finished to the highest standards, Jeremy Clarkson drives every single one individually in a Bentley Continental R across the continent non-stop, resting only when he reaches the sea. From there they are transported across to the new world of America by a relay fleet composed of viking longboats and triremes. After their 10 year odyssey then rack up in a wharehouse in California and get sold on ebay to kids with Dodge Neons trying to make them look like EVO VIIs and where the component with the most power is a sub-amp.

Its the last part that makes the whole process so worthwhile.
