You should only extend it slightly below the lowest part of the underside of the car. Too much and you'll add drag.

If I use the shorter edging it should work purrrfectly

Ran the B test run on the air dam today, 62.5mpg@50mph approx. 30 degrees F., will run the A test tomorrow, should be close to the same temp., but there will be approx. 150lbs less in the car tomorrow, how much would that change the numbers? I have read 1-2% per 100lbs, what would be the closest for my car?

Thats not really aba testing if you alter the vehicle. Is this something you do on a daily bases as a courier? Then in that case it would be fine as thats your normal route and you have a baseline for or from previous trips.
