Sometimes it does surprise me that GM didn't release the Metro in my country instead of the Opel Corsa. It seems to stand up to abuse quite well for a subcompact.

I had a 987 Chevy Sprint, 1.0L 5 speed 2 door...awesome fuel economy, unstoppable in the snow...so much fun to drive as a teen.
That's the reason they stopped selling it...it got too good of MPG's and was too reliable.
