Got tired of the bumpy ride. Time for a new ride! (2016 Civic EX-T)

Finally pulled the trigger. Picked up a 2016 Honda Civic EX-T in Burgundy night pearl with Ivory/black interior on 3-11-16.

So far, I'm extremely impressed with it. Going to work I achieved 51.1MPG in extremely heavy rain, strong head winds, and stop and go traffic. In the same conditions my insight would have gotten about 60-65.

I took a trip from work to my uncles house to spend some time with my cousin, and I achieved 52MPG despite the fact I raced an Acura RSX (And chopped him, btw) who attempted to pass me on the on-ramp, and some A/C use for defrosters.

Once I got a couple hours sleep, we started up and went to LAX to take pictures of airplanes/get some food, the trip (which had a ton of stop and go traffic) resulted in 45.8MPG.

I then did a ton of city driving in constant stop/go conditions in the city while there and moving to different spots around the airport, and my average was 35-40MPG.

When our day was over, I took him home and then drove home, achieved 46MPG on the way home, despite dealing with heavy 210E traffic. This also included a 3,000FT elevation difference (uphill).

Overall, I'm extremely impressed that even with a non-broken in engine, I'm still getting 45+ at highway speeds. This was all with the tires at 32PSI (set from dealer). The car also has mud-flaps, which I may remove if they will give me 2-3MPG. It's extremely comfortable, quick, and the features in general are just nice to have compared to my insight. I can drive more than 50mi now without my back hurting, which is nice. The car tries very hard to keep MPG's around 45 in cruise control. Cruises at about ~1800RPM at 65 and roughly 2,000 at 70.

[Edit]: Before anyone asks, yes I'll be keeping the insight. I'll be driving the insight 65% of the time to work, just because of cost/wanting to keep mileage down on the new car.

Credits to my cousin Dylan for taking these pics for me. His camera is amazing, and I appreciate the time he took to come with my to LAX (then again... He asked to go but still).

I'm just going to keep telling myself that I love my Fit. I think I'm going to write it on my hand with a sharpie.

Raced a fit too on the way to my cousins, wasn't even a competition xD. The guy was being a total ass to everyone so I found it Fit to teach him a lesson :P.

Not really, my bad back forced my hand xD. Regardless I wanted newer tech, and the fact they finally brought back the small engine, AND decided to turbo it is what really did it for me.

Yes, I believe it's something around 3.08 or 2.93 at highest gearing ratio.

Turbocharging does miracles dealing with elevation differences.

Updated OP with 2 more photos and credit to my cousin.

Yea cripple it does. I don't understand the science behind it, but I have heard that turbo's help at above sea-level operations.

Very nice mileage! I'm a bit surprised.

Can I ask what you paid out the door for it?
