I payed 20,450 for the car, but got an alarm, paint and interior protection (5yr unlimited miles) some sport package (BS, was already on car but didn't have a choice) that came with trunk liner, wheel locks, mud flaps, and some other add-ons) ended up paying 22,930 OTD. 0.0000875% interest. 254$ a month. 3 Year lease. I plan on buying the car when the lease is up, but the low payment/interest rate gives me time to save up money so I can put 3-4k down on the residual when it's time to buy it, only owe about 10k and have low interest rate/low payments.

Congrats on the new ride.

I understand they put some effort into the CVT to make it behave not like a typical CVT.

What I don't understand is why they didn't give it an actual hatchback, considering it now looks like one.

Agreed. These new civics all have CVT issues though. It's a 'surge' issue in CC. I'll be cruising at 65-70 and it will bounce +/-100rpm. Like so: 2000-2100-2000-2100 over and over again. Appearantly a battery disconnect for 10-15 mins fixes the issue, but I don't like doing that so I deal with it for now. Besides that it's kinda rare so when I happens I just get out of CC and control it with my foot manually.

Haha, I don't really plan on eco-modding this car at all. However, I have began to think of new tires. Does anyone know what the lowest RR tire is that will fit my tire size? I believe they are 215/55/R17 but I'm not 100% sure. Remember I live in California so I don't need any winter type tire. Just low as I can RR.

First fill up today, basically 40mpg. Ntm I think I actually went more miles but forgot to reset trips and stuff. Also I really beat the **** out of this tank. Lots of WOT runs, idling and short trips <3 miles. I figure my insight would have gotten about ~55 in the same conditions. This next tank will (hopefully) be much better. My first trip to work with the new petrol resulted in 58MPG, Insight would have done about 75-80 so, I'm seeing about a 15mpg difference, at higher speeds in the Civic, and I can't P&G in the Civic whatsoever due to the CVT transmission.

Congrats. Those Civics are popping up like rabbits. They look cool, though I can't get over how enormous they look.

It's 3 inches longer, 4 inches wider and 2 inches taller than my 89 Accord was.

I would think there wouldn't be any point in P&G, so long as the transmission has a tall enough final drive to keep the engine at high load. P&G is basically a way to get around pumping losses associated with fixed gearing.
