My brother has a S40 on G3, really nice car, gets about 30 mpg on G3. But when something breaks the costs are much higher than with a simple car. Even when he does all the work himself.

It is, it is. But the space and comfort is so appealing ..
My all time dream is a 4x4 diesel.. But the height of the costs in the Netherlands are dramatic. It's a legal way of stealing

Not just in the Netherlands. We have the same problem here in the 3rd-world

Hi all! Long time no see!
Still driving the little Peugeot with an average fuel consumption of 18,3 km/L. Not the best numbers but I think it's acceptable for the way I use the car.
No modifications yet but in some time I need new front tyres so I'm looking for a good efficient tyre. I was thinking about Michelin Energy Savers, can get a bit of discount on them

That average fuel consumption still sounds kinda impressive. Then I remember gas back there in Europe doesn't have the same ethanol content as it has in my country...

For tires look on autobanden24.nl, then pick the best one in your price range. You only need to find someone to change the tires for you if you buy them online.

Lucky for me, I can change them myself .. And if I buy them at the car dealership I work at, I can get some discount and help the company's numbers

Hi Sjoegerd
I have a 2000 Peugeot 406 hdi with 240.000km on the clock and get at long distance about 22 km per litre. I allways take it easy and go not faster than about 90km or 1750rpm hardly ever above 2000rpm
Been ecodriving for a long time and found it great
When i was still in Holland i had 2cv's they were the cheap running cars at the time, but times have changed, my pug is doing much better and much more comfy.
Good luck with your eco miling
Eddie

Those 406 HDi, I love them! They are just so comfortable and look reasonably well for their age .. Been looking into them but the taxes are too high for me. And I also really like my little Peug

I have the new front tyres! Only need to change them, but didn't have time yet
I also filled in the fuel log on the website next to my own fuel log. But I can't manage to let it compare the factory fuel consumption next to mine.
