Have you ever wanted to take off\put on all of the lug nuts at once?

I figured that it was possible, but since I am not sure that I would ever purchase a compressor and an impact gun; one attachment that I would only use on my wheels, that might save me a couple of minutes on all four wheels, does not make sense to me, but I think it is pretty cool someone figured it out: Multi-Spindle - Jemms Cascade

I saw that in a random video that also included this:

Shoulder Dolly Moving Straps

They are almost twice as expensive as the forearm forklifts that I bought an old roommate: Forearm Forklift L74995CN Lifting and Moving Straps

It seemed like he was always helping people move and I was excited to finally be able to move heavy awkward stuff that does not have good places to put my hands.

Have a great day!

You'd still have to spin each socket to get it to line up with the lug nut, and you'd have to buy 5 sockets, and the tool would only be good for that exact bolt pattern, and you'd still need to torque each lug nut after putting them back on, and you still need to hand thread it to start, so you don't cross thread.

I did consider torque sticks for my impact wrench, but then realized I already have a torque wrench, it's not hard to use, and it works for any torque.

I consider an air compressor to be among basic household tools. You could fill car tires with a bike pump, but that gets old pretty quick, and it's harder to set a bead that way. That said, I imagine battery powered impact wrenches are pretty good now. I just bought one as part of a Ryobi kit, so I'll know soon enough.

Is the Forearm Forklift any good? I figure if it was helpful, the professionals would use it.

There are 120v powered impact wrenches.

Ha. I briefly looked at a 120v impact wrench at Harbor F---yeah, enough said.

Two hundred and thirty foot-pounds of torque for $48. If I can put my full weight on a wrench I can do that much without a breaker bar. This one is $300 for 270 foot-pounds: Hitachi WR16SE Brushless Motor Corded Impact Wrench, 1/2-Inch

I do not understand using corded tools within reach of an outlet, but the battery-powered units that I have seen had more torque.

ACDelco is a real brand, right? Five hundred foot-pounds for $47 if you go pneumatic: ACDelco ANI405 Heavy Duty Twin Hammer 1/2" Air Impact Wrench Pneumatic Tools

Once a thriving product for movers and contractors available at a dozen big-box retailers including Wal-Mart, Target and AutoZone, Forearm Forklift has been ravaged over the past half-decade by counterfeiters, mostly selling on Amazon. Scores of merchants have copied the patented product, using its name, images and labels and undercutting the real Forearm Forklift on price.

It looks like professionals used it. I don't watch movers work.

Conversations with merchants elicit a very different reaction. Since CNBC.com began reporting on Amazon's budding counterfeit issue in May, we've spoken with dozens of merchants that have narratives similar to Lopreiato's, but very few are willing to speak on the record out of fear of retribution from Amazon.
Quote:
Birkenstock said in July that it's no longer authorizing sales on Amazon starting in 2017. Last week Apple sued a distributor named Mobile Star for selling counterfeit power adapters and charging cables on the site, claiming the products "pose an immediate threat to consumer safety."

Amazon has taken steps to crack down of late by forcing new sellers of major brands like Nike, Hasbro and Cuisinart to show invoices proving the items are legitimate and then pay a fee. Third-party sellers are getting suspended in droves for activity that Amazon deems suspicious or for complaints from buyers, sparking outrage from merchants who say they're being punished for Amazon's inability to control counterfeiting.

I don't have electric impact wrench, only air powered ones for me.

No. For one thing, you have to start the nuts by hand to get them threaded properly. Then you usually have to get one or two screwed partway down before you can even get the rest on. And of course, each of my 3 vehicles has IIRC a different number and spacing.

About the only place I can see this being any use is in a racing pit, where fractions of a second saved changing a tire would count.

Plus I use a torque wrench to do the final tightening.

How much time would this save?

Impact guns are fast, right, which is why they are so popular? It took far too long to find a picture of someone using an impact wrench to remove a tire. I watched at least ten ChrisFix videos where he either used hand tools or removed the lugnuts off-camera. South Main Auto Repair to the rescue!

As far as I can tell, the first lugnut is 1x, but then he speeds up through the rest. If you can average 1.21 seconds each and there are twenty, it would take 24.2 seconds to do all four wheels. If you had the right Multi-Spindle and magically did not need to line up the sockets, you could potentially save 19.36 seconds! If a tire technician normally replaces twenty-five sets of tires a day (I do not have any idea), this would save them eight minutes a day!

How fast would it work if you divide the torque by at least five?

That is what I get for feeling excited about something.

Well, time to fix the passenger fender on my Accord. Somehow it shifted and now the door will not open. My brother attempted to force it!
