Hello All

I've been lurking around the forums for awhile and I like what I've been seeing.
I drive a 1997 Geo Metro 2dr Hatchback about 104 miles round trip to work and about 3000 miles ago the transmission started getting noticeably louder.
I've read about some of gear and transmission swaps that have been documented by those here on this board and it really encouraged me to look at that possibility.

I'm happy to say that last weekend, I dropped the original tranny on sunday and had the donor from a Metro XFI installed and running on Monday. Its a pretty daunting task to start, but I was surprised by how easy it actually went along.

For the record don't get MOOG oil seals for the Transmission output shafts. They are just slightly too big. Autozone didn't even have them in the system. Napa Autoparts came thru for me though.

Guilty as charged

Ya, Reboot was a fun show.

So far the tranny exchange has been working great, however my Speedo isn't calibrated anymore. Anyone know offhand if I can swap the speedo gears from tranny to tranny? I haven't looked at it yet.
